The Big Kahuna was commissioned by a local newspaper to draw this for a feature article regarding the bout Mar 12, 1943 between Jimmy Bivens and Tami Mauriello in Madison Square Garden
the inset says….Marine Corporal Barney Ross from the The Canal , wounded and sick—asked Boxing Promoter Mike Jacobs to get him a ticket for tonights Mauriello – Bivens Bout, Because He “Hadn’t Seen A Good Fight In A Long Time”—!!

Wonderful…you should find out how to preserve it from detiorating…it should be preserved…
I know……many are brittle and browned…………
I am placing them in plastic for now………

Plastic will make them deteriorate even more as it does not breathe…art supply stores have acid free sleeves and boxes for things like this…you will need to frame them in a special shadow box
Okay..out with the plastic then………I have started to put some in glass frames……….I will check out the art suppply store ,……..

Don’t let the glass touch them and use acid free mats…a shadow box is the safest…until then keep them in between sheets of acid free paper, like good watercolour paper…
