The use of TTL adds a very becoming feel to this scene…like the low angle of view and the hint of sun…not much for graveyards, but this appeals to me somehow…nice work!

  • There’s something very confronting about graveyards but I love the beautiful old headstones and the strange sense of calm walking through this place.
Really appreciate your lovely comment Rick, thanks so much, I hoped the TTV would add a sense of age/nostalgia to the shot.

Love your approach to this theme…. love the low angle and tones… : ))

  • Such a lovely comment, thanks so much Jenny. Some of the headstones in this cemetery are incredibly beautiful and belong to the pioneers of the township of Uralla, hence the title :D

  • Hi Bill :D
Thanks so much, was actually very frustrating getting this with the sun behind the headstones, either too bright or silhouetted… finally managed a just right.

Love the gritty look as well as the tombstones….lot of detail and the gray seems to devour the rest of the pic….

  • Appreciate your lovely comment OldManTed, thanks so much.

you definitely get the soft feel from that old lens unlike any digital filter could reproduce. looks like it could be a still from “Nosferatu.” very well done.

  • Thanks James, you really can’t beat the effect from these old cameras, dirt and all and that’s a huge compliment, love that film, classic
