Absolutely gorgeous! Love it!!!
Thank you Dana, truly appreciated.
Very cool Sylvia. You’re a clever little thing aren’t you?
What a gorgeous “set” – sneaking up on the horizon or away from the it……obviously this has made me stutter with delight…
So happy you like these margot, something a little different. Of course I have many more combinations……….. :D
These are fabulous Kitsmumma- they remind me of the early work of a quite famous Czech/ Aussi/ English artist (Alex Sadlo) who used to do physical (as opposed to digital) works in the 1970’s with were composed of multitudes of plastic strips of colour with formed landscapes- large scale….I’m sure if you google Sadlo you will find him, currently residing in England.
Hi Ben, that’s a huge compliment, thanks so much and a strange co-incidence as I am also Czech! I can’t find any of his earlier work on the net but will look into him further, I’d like to see the work you mention. Thanks again.
This is a portrait by Alex Sadlo of his wife Gaynor, which is in a style similar to his earlier landscapes in plastic strips. I couldn’t find any pictures of the landscapes in question because they probably don’t exist- the landscapes were orinially in the foyer of a South Australian tourist resort about 35 years ago, that was sold to Asian interests and subsequently renovated, and we never saw the artworks again! They are probably in a secret collection somehwere, lost to public view.
That portrait of Gaynor was my favourite of what I was able to find. He has a portfolio on Saatchi with a bigger view. It’s really quite amazing, so detailed and full of light and dimension, mind boggling really. Would love to see/know how he painted.Hope that plastic landscape still exists and reappears again one day.
