Dangars Lagoon, Uralla, New South Wales, Australia.

After the hottest summer in many years and now months without rain, I was devasted yesterday to find that the Lagoon is now bone dry. I walked right through the middle of it. The water is gone and so is the wildlife.

Bring on the rain!

Really sad. It looks liek it was a good sized lagoon also.

Mum was only telling me this morning that she’d be happy with even 6 drops…they haven’t see rain in Deepwater for what seems like weeks.

I should add that this is a lovely shot also. =D

  • Thanks Lorraine. Yes, it’s getting a little desperate up here, I think we are around week 8. Dangars is a huge wildlife sanctuary, you should visit it next time you are up this way, it really is beautiful, despite the drought. It was such a shock yesterday, I’ve never seen it like this.
