DesImages
The detail in this is beautiful. The title is very apt – it’s like going into another world.
Kitsmumma replied
Thanks so much DesImages, couldn’t decide on a title, you’ve convinced me this one’s OK. I had the lens right up against the dandelion hopeing to capture ‘another’ perspective/world.
Marion Cullen
My word, this is fabulous macro Sylvia. The framing makes me feel like I am watching a nature documentary!
Kitsmumma replied
Thanks so much Marion, I’m experimenting with TtV and loving it. I took this through one of my old cameras with the macro on my digital, I’m really pleased with how it came out.
Silvia Manuela
Interesting work. I just wondered….is this the way a dalek sees the world??
Kitsmumma replied
YES!!!!! but with more tunnel vision. Love it.
DennisK

Kitsmumma replied

Peace Mitchell
I love this, your macro work is just amazing!
Kitsmumma replied
Thanks so much PeaceM, huge compliment.
I will admit to being pleasantly surprised by the amount of detail in this shot, I didn’t think the macro would work so well.
Lila Alias
This is AMAZING!! Its looks like a tiny planet in its own little universe…. Beautiful beautiful work! Cant get over how awesome this is!!!!!!
Kitsmumma replied
Thanks so much Lila, so glad you like it. Dandelions have been done to death, I really wanted to try something a little different. Appreciate your kind comment.

Amazing macro! Like you said – dandelions have been done to death – but this is and interesting and refreshing view. I particularly like the incredible detail.
Very well done.
(BTW – what on earth is TtV?)
regards,
Mike
Kitsmumma replied
Hi Mike, thank you so much for your wonderful comment. Much appreciated.
TtV (through the viewfinder) is a technique where you take a photo through the viewfinder of another camera, preferably a lovely old, large format camera. Click on the link to the TtV Group to find out more and to see some incredible TtV work.

This an amazing shot, true class. It turns something common into a spectacle, top marks.
And yes, I viewed it large.
Kitsmumma replied
So glad you like this pryere, my first attempt at TtV, was surprised at how clear it came out. Apprecate your kind comment, huge compliment.
Nicole Goggins
this is awsome! love the focus and light! just can’t beat a danelion for a great macro – looks sensational in b & w and love how you have framed it!
Kitsmumma replied
Thanks so much for your kind comment Nicole, the framing is a result of using the TtV technique, my first attempt, I’m thrilled with the result.
Rhana Griffin
Magical, splendiferous and all round beautiful. What an awesome technique! Got me itching to dig through my storage boxes for my old cameras… Can’t wait to see what comes of this you world you have entered Sylvia.
Kitsmumma replied
So much fun Rhana but a little tricky using two cameras at the same time. I’ve been using an old Nikon that has a large viewfinder and was truly surprised that using a macro on the other camera actually worked. Lots of fun and experimentation. Give it a go, you’ll be hooked!!!!! x
