Good Morning Beautiful

Good Morning Beautiful

Satellite, oh, satellite
Who sits upon our skies
How deep do you see when you spy into our lives?

I know that god lives in everybody’s souls
And the only devil in your world
Lives in the human heart

So now ask yourself
What is human? and what is truth?
Ask yourself
Whose voice is it? that whispers unto you?
From the cellars of your homes
From the tops of your city roofs
Ask yourself
Whose voice is it? that whispers unto you?

Who is it?
That turns your blood into spirit and your spirit into blood

Who is it?
That can reach down from above and set yours souls ablaze with love
Or fill you with the insanity of violence and it’s brother: lust

Who is it?
Whose words have been twisted beyond recognition
In order to build your planet earth’s religions

Who is it?
Who could make your little armies of the left
And your little armies of the right
Light up your skies tonight

Now some of you may live and some of you may die
But remember
That nothing in the world can kill you inside
For he is thinking of you
In your great cities of great solitude

Oh children you’ve still got a lot to fuckin’ learn
The only path to heaven is via hell

Good morning beautiful, good morning beautiful
Good morning beautiful, good bye world

wow! What can i say – your image caught my eye anyway and then I read the words attached and you have blown my mind. Is it me or is there a closed eye and nose in the dark cloud in the middle – whoops childhood games coming back. This is almost like having my thoughts articulated for me instead of the swirling mess they usually are. Thanks again for your comments they mean a lot to me.

Hi Deb, I was so happy this morning to find that someone had commented on this. Can’t tell you how happy your comment has made me. I didn’t think many people would like this. I was playing around with it last night listening to The The’s Mind Bomb (one of my all time favourite albums) and thought that Good Morning Beautiful was the perfect song to accompany my image. Pretty full on, I know, and yes, I could see the face as well, its definately in there, almost grim reeperish! As for thoughts being a swirling mess, I can totally relate to this. I have been a swirling mess every since I had my baby 21/2 years ago. Sleep deprivation definately messes with your head! Hope you have a great day! Talk soon and thank you again!

Hi alistair, as mentioned above to Deb, I didn’t think many people would like this but agree that once you read the lyrics they make you see the picture differently and this is what I had hoped for. Thanks so much for your comment. Makes me happy when others ‘get’ me! hehehe. Those songs are two of my faves also! Timeless album, love Matt Johnson!

Ha, “The The” is my all time favourite band
and “Mind Bomb and “Naked Self” are two
of the best albums around. Great to come
across another fan! Matt Johnson is a fantastic
songwriter and love your addition of the
words of the song with the image.
