Indeed she is – great black and white. Is she garaged or going for an outing. Great image.

  • Kitsmumma

Hi Robert, no she is garaged (boo hoo!). I have had her for about 12 years and used to drive her everyday until 2 weeks before I had my baby. My belly used to touch the steering wheel, hehehe. I haven’t driven her for a while, she has no belts in the back and I can’t get the baby seat in. I could have them installed but I like to keep her pretty standard (and I can’t afford it!). I reckon she’s an Aussie icon!

Completely cool! A friend of mine has an old burgundy EH that he calls Queenie too! Hope you get her on the road again.

Hey Chris, what a coincidence! Maybe it’s because Queenie is such a grand old name befitting such lovely old ‘girls’. My Queenie is a 1968 Kingswood, 2-speed powerglide. They also came in a 3-speed trimatic. She is lovely and sleek and has a red interior. I bought her from an old digger who bought her new originally. He used to wear his jet black hair slicked back and she has a little brylcreem stain on the roof!
