I’ve been taking shots of paper, paint, sheds, fabric, you name it. It’s my new project for when I’m uninspired. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, trial and error!

Thanks so much Marion, I’m really into it at the moment, it’s fun to create different textures when stuck for other ideas. I’m really pleased with this one as the original shot was a little overexposed, this just gives it a whole new life.

Really love this….... When I saw this all I could hear in my head was a Beach Boys song. It looks like a weathered photo and I love that. I also must say that I saw the tee shirt for this and I am certain that will sell well….......perfect for summer.

Thanks so much Danny. This was something very different for me. I’ve started creating my own backgrounds from various macro shots I’ve taken and this one just worked with this shot. The original shot (which I also uploaded but took down again) was overexposed and the background just worked, gave it the feeling I was after, ie, vintage and nostalgic surf culture. The guy with the board walked into my shot and I just couldn’t believe it…....longboard and all. Happy you like this.
PS – you should take a holiday to Angourie, I guarantee you would love it.
