Forgive me, great painting, but perhaps you were trying to mirror the days of early settlement in Australia? That was the quality I saw, a kind of honesty.

Hi and thanks Robert. I guess it is mirroring the early days of settlement as it’s a photograph taken in rural NSW where I live. I’ve added texture to it which gives it a painterly feel.

I am sorry I cannot include an uploaded photo with my kudos for your photo. Mother nature is fabulous and you framed this shot beautifully. The painting filters added to some pictures are unnecessary but I think it works wonderfully in this Old Masters sunrise or sunset.
