Ballroom Dancing for squirrels? Love the antique look of it, and the TV border (reminds me of childhood pre-color TV days). Looks crazy, but I’ve been known to take the free AOL CDs (What I call the Bill Gates Coaster Set) and suspend then from tree branches around the garden to frighten away the birds and squirrels. Been doing it for years and figured the neighbors thought I was crazy but my wife saw it submitted as a tip in a gardening magazine this year. Nice Technique. Definitely different,,,,and different is good.

Hi Alex, thanks so much for your comment, gave me a giggle and I now have a great visual of your garden, great idea and very resourceful.
This mirror ball has been hanging in my garden for about 10 years, I love it and over here in Australia it’s the possums you have to deal with but this huge thing does nothing to deter them…........... have you ever heard a possum going off in the middle of the night?
The antique look and border of the shot are all from the vintage Argoflex Seventy-five that I shot this through.

yes, i see a line of squirrels doing “The Hustle” here. as long as they don’t were polyester, everything is good, lol. your treatment works by taking this in a more graphic direction like a woodcut or metal etching. super contrast. well done.

  • Kitsmumma replied

Ha! it’s the possums in polyester you have to look out for James, hehe. Appreciate your comment, thanks.

Ah, Actually here in the deep south of Alabama we do have marsupials like the O Possum. Some of the hardier folks around here actually have been known to eat them. Then we have these primitive exo-skeleton, body armored critters called armadillos, Locals call em possum on the half-shell, and yep, they too can be dinner. I call em-road kill.
