I just love what you do with that thing!

  • Kitsmumma replied

hehe, thanks so much flower, it’s very cumbersome and takes a lot of coordination and patience (no candid shots with this method) and I can’t always get what I want but I love it.

You’re not kidding about the patience and coordination thing- I had a go at ttv recently with an old polaroid camera (the only camera I had with the right viewfinder) and it’s seriously tricky to get right! I’m even more impressed with yours now I know how hard it is- this one is one of my favourite subjects too.

  • Kitsmumma replied

Would love to see what you did with the Polaroid Rebecca! The thing that makes it especially tricky with a TLR is that everything is in reverse but normal through the top camera, ie, move right with the bottom camera and it views as left, etc, and I have to flip any images containing text so that it reads the right way. Takes much coordination. The other thing is trying to block out light and reflection between the two cameras. I have made a tunnel thingy out of a plastic container, seems to work…..... most of the time.

Love the feeling of reaching up and out. Another great example of your talent and skills Sylvia.

Great TTV, love the color of the sky, the brown of the stems, and the overall “dirty” feel to it. Got my hands on a reflex camera and hope to get into it soon. Keep up the great work.
