I come from Latvia, a small country filled with tall tales. Different tales and stories have lived in my head for as long as I can remember. And as far as I can remember I have always loved to draw. After graduating from fine arts college I received a BA degree from the Latvian Academy of Arts, a widely recognized academic institution in Eastern Europe, where I studied drawing and printmaking. My works have been exhibited in galleries in Riga, Moscow, Tallin, Iowa, Munich, and London. One thing that has always stayed in my stories and drawings has been an element of hope, faith and the celebration of life. I live and work in London with my husband and our two small children.
