THE MERRY-GO-ROUND
Up and down..up and down
Remembering being a child
Instincts so wild
Loving that thrilll
And yet chill
Of up and down..up and down
And round..round..round
No one ever explained to me
What the future would be
The same as THE MERRY-GO-ROUND
Up and down .. up and down
Thought life would be a strait path
Mustn’t have known too much math
It didn’t turn out that way
Life not on a steady ride
We slip..we slide..slip and slide
One day life puts you on easy street
The next day you can accomplish no feat
You can be rich one day
The next it’s all taken away
You can find love
Thank the Powers above
The next day love goes
Life no longer a rose
Your job can be a blast
Next day you leave..it’s in the past
So I would have to equate
Everyone’s life up to this date
As THE MERRY GO ROUND
