Sail Away – by mlgkats

she dreams of the day
she can rent or buy a boat
and sail away
and be free for the first
time is to be free,
to lay out the sun and get a tan,
with wind in her hair,
and to stop at so
many places she would
never see,
to see the beautiful sunset
and sunrises of the sea
to breathe the fresh air
and hopes the a dolphin
or whale would appear,
she can puts some music
on as loud as wants
and dance the night
away or sleep as late
as she wants
this is a dream worth waiting
on

never stop chasing your dreams
go after what you want and feel free.

Just read my great friend Mel’s wonderful poem ‘Sail Away’ – reminded me of a photograph I took of a sailboat off the coast of Corfu – with a little post work!

I could just imagine the lady in the poem sailing away in it to discover her dreams!
