'+ Live Another Day +'

This is for all those days when you have felt like giving up, when the world just seems to crash down around you and rain down with despair.

Everyone has felt those times when something bad has happened and everything just seems to be going wrong for you, when there seems no way out.
This is the theme behind this picture…

The way her arm is coming apart, and parts of her body are dripping is showing when you have that feeling inside you that your falling to pieces. The knives show her pain stabbing into her, while the dripping feeling in the background shows her world coming down around her.

Hey whole appearance i tried to make look almost unhuman, because often in times of despair and depression you can feel alienated.

The spade (like in all my pictures) is to represent her love fading away, its like a heart that has had everything sucked out of it. I also made the spade larger in comparison to the heart to show how she only has a small heart left… almost like all the love in it has been took away just forming the spade.

Although the heart hiden away inside the rose is to symbolise hope… its saying that even when everything seems bad there is always a way out of it, its just hidden away and you have to look for it – which explains the title ‘Live Another Day’. The message i wanted to say was to never give up on yourself, keep on going no matter what because there is always hope for you

This picture took quite a while to finish, i started this over a week ago but have only just got round to completing it it is all done in watercolour pencils apart from the knive which i cut out of a magasine.
This is somewhat inspired by Giger who i have been studying as part of my surrealist project.
