Bird Girl
... ok, so I borrowed the floral pattern from an ad in Black Book magazine (couldn’t resist, just loved the colours, but don’t look too closely at my vector work!), but the rest is completely original!
Was feeling quite connected to all the birds at my parents place when I drew this image and I guess it’s a reflection of that. The pattern and colours reflect my current desire to become more in touch with my femininty… be a bit more girly …

Your characters and drawings are charming! Wonderful use of hat pattern too! I call my backyard the Wild Kingdom, because of my homemade giant bird feeder and a whole neighborhood of little bird houses, I can watch the ensuing soap opera from the kitchen window, even heat the birdbath water, otherwise they just sit on the ice and look mournful.
