Viper's Bugloss - Echium vulgaris by

Endemic to most of Europe, and western and central Asia.

It has been introduced into North American gardens from where escaped, became naturalized and by today considered to be an invasive weed for example in Washington State of the US.

When open initially the flowers are pink then during maturation they turn into blue.
