Artist's Description

Floating Watermoss in fact a moss is not, it is a floating aquatic fern relative. The hairy root-like structures in fact are highly modified structures developed from the third row of leaves.
Covers nutrient-rich still water surfaces quickly, inhibiting access of sun rays and air to deeper water layers.

Cultivated in artificial garden ponds and aquaria.
