Verona Cathedral facade distant angle shot over blue sky by 

Cathedral of Verona Santa Maria Matricolare angle facade shot in a bright sunny day over blue sky with white clouds.

Destroyed twice in the past by earthquakes, the Verona Cathedral which we all know was built between 1117-1138 year. Since then there were made a lot of modifications. The interior was completely remodeled in the Gothic style in the 15th and 16th centuries. The Baroque addition at the upper part of the facade is part of 17th century additions. The bell tower, was built in the 16th century by Michele Sanmicheli and It contains nine bells.
The last restoration of frescoes, wooden furnishings and the lighting was made in 2002.

Kiril Stanchev is born in 1974 in the city of Rousse. He is a representative of the new generation of Bulgarian artists who are trying to combine the beauty in the tradition of the old masters with the complex emotions of the present. Inspired initially by the cultural atmosphere of his own family, and particularly by his grandfather Kiril Stanchev Sr., one of the well known names in Bulgarian art, Stanchev developed his style in the Sofia College of Fine Arts.
