With the warmer weather outside, I’m looking more and more often to the sea coast with longing for the quiet days on the beach early in the season. The splashing waves, gentle breath of the breeze, the positive energy charging hours on the sand, all these made me paint the canvas.
Kiril Stanchev is born in 1974 in the city of Rousse. He is a representative of the new generation of Bulgarian artists who are trying to combine the beauty in the tradition of the old masters with the complex emotions of the present. Inspired initially by the cultural atmosphere of his own family, and particularly by his grandfather Kiril Stanchev Sr., one of the well known names in Bulgarian art, Stanchev developed his style in the Sofia College of Fine Arts.
