Tasmanian Forest harvesters clear fell large area’s threatening native animal/bird habitat, most of old growth is getting hard to find and with global warming etc carbon locked in these forests are more essential than ever.
The transition into tree farms is on the go …but not fully ..some saw logs are still harvested in native forests but the bulk of the damage is done clearfelling trees for the woodchip market .

    this is a very interesting photograph (sorry, not a great way of expressing it) and my eye keeps drawing back to it. I saw it on the bar at the top of the page and in the small format it looked so much like a monster or a lion, with a gaping maw. Would you mind if I directed a fellow bubbler illustrator to take a look. He’s an exceptionally talented man when it comes to drawing/painting and he created monsters from one of my own ‘interesting’ tree shots. But he would ask you first if he wishes to do this. REally love this pic. :)
