No, No, Robin....The OTHER side!

No, No, Robin....The OTHER side!

So I carefully set up the camera to take a picture of the robin at the birdbath. He’s a regular visitor, a clean little bird…
Alas, he saw me lurking and came over to say “Hi!” (He’s a friendly little bird!).
I grabbed my spare camera and got him! No time to change settings and yet a far better shot than I’d planned (....and I got the robin-in-the-bird-bath pictures later).

How great is this, I love it… terrific shot…...a fav for sure… not sure that is a robin as I have tons of them, might be but I’m thinking it very well might be another bird similiar to one… I’ll have to pull out my bird book…;-)

It is a robin, honest :-)
It’s a European Robin, Erithacus Rubecula. I’m in London and it’s our common or garden robin and I tend to forget there are other robins round the world!

Oh, I’m so sorry, I didn’t realize you were across the sea so to speak… I’m in USA…. our Robins do look different, yours are adorable…. not sure I have any pics of robins in RB but I have some… Let me look and see if not I’ll submit one from us… their breast is larger and the red/auburn goes a lot further down it…not so much on their head… I love the coloring in yours…. I th ought a robin was a robin…LOL

Even without a caption, this is a wonderfully humerous capture. This pic says it all! Ha! Lucky you had that ‘spare’ camera though…..........Cobie:-)
