    super perspective, great symetry

  • Thanks Matt, I just finished my photo day so, I figured this would be a great test for the camera’s sensor and lens. I always wanted a capture of the Metro and I’m happy that this came out so well. I used the railing for support and composed with the flip up LCD screen.

very good shot of an interesting roof structure. Great range of brightness values make this so effective.

  • Every time I use the Metro, I think about this view in a photo. On this day, I made it happen. I used ISO 200 because the camera will increase it’s dynamic range by 200% and still keep a noise free image.

    Hi Ken!
I love the formal severity of the Metro Rail Station-serie.
This capture is an excellent examble for this.
Do you use a tripod for this serie?

  • Thanks Uwe, I had to improvise for this series because I left my monopod at home. For this view, I used the railing and the flip up LCD on the camera to frame. In other capture’s, I used a nearby bench and litter can.

Hey nice capture Ken, I use to visit this station when living in D.C. in early 1998, so great for me to see it again, nice capture mate, clean and vibrant.

  • Thanks for the complement!!! I was worried about vibration on the railing but, I got a clean capture.
