This surreal artwork is a bit Daliesque in the sense of its unexpected shapes, and the depth of the landscape. The colors, the look of the ‘false’ sky, and the alien appearance of the landscape all lend an air of mystery and wonder to this artwork.

Inspection reveals that the sky has folds in it, and is actually part of the rest of the scene. The entire artwork is just one large convoluted 3D object.

The organic curves, gently flowing and turning in an unexpected composition, the muted orange and rust colors of the landscape, and the blues and yellows of the ‘enclosed’ sky, present themselves in an intriguing and unique interplay of light and color.

There is some accidental symbolism in this art which is often overlooked.

The result is an appealing, restful, and mysterious landscape that could only be found in the mind of its artist creator. Please join me and enjoy this view of my mental meanderings.

The interplay of color and female form is inspired. Did you see NASA’s Rover close out the inauguration parade? We’ll be on Mars in the not too distant future. I wonder if there are fish there? Yours in the lower right is cool.

I like this. It is very eye catching. I have no idea how digital art is done but I’d love to learn. What program do you use to do this type of art?

  • Kinnally

    Kinnally

There are all sorts of programs for digital art. You might want to start by searching for “computer art” or “digital art” and looking at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_art as a place to start. Also, you’ll probalby have to know how to use Photoshop Elements or a similar program. I use different programs, and often in combination, but I prefer not to discuss which ones I use. They are all well known however.
