The Church of the Holy Cross, Sedona, AZ
Inside the church stands this wonderful little statue! What, I wonder, did it used to hold? This may well be a statue of Joan of Arc, often depicted with a sword and a shepherd’s crook.

The first thought that came to my mind was Michael – the archangel.
He often holds a sword, sometimes a torch or a lance.
The clotes would fit. :) And if he’s standing on someone (I guess I can see a fabce underneath his right foot?) it’s very likely to be him.
