From airborne radar systems to missle nose cones (radomes) to electroluminescent lamps (like Indiglo® watches), I’ve made my living off of technology. I’ve always enjoyed using my creative streak to solve problems, make contributions, and develop new proucts or implement new technologies. After years of working in high-tech fields and admiring and studying art on the side, I now create unique and unusual works and one success inspires me to create another, and yet another. I am pleased to be able to merge my technical and creative skills in the blooming field of digital art!

@ my Online Gallery:

Creating my art is a true give and take between myself and the evolving image. Often, when I try to push the art in one direction, it responds differently and makes me take it in another. The art itself surprises me, and it directs me to the area it wants to be taken, rather than accepting what I try to make it do. And so I let myself go and the art takes over and the evolution excites, surprises and amazes me. Unless I’ve decided to do another image in a series, I do not know when I sit down to create a work what the end result will be. I simply start to work and seek and experiment and the artwork comes into life on its own, and directs me down the path to completion. And it is a path filled with wonderment at the possibilities!

@ my Online Gallery:

I’ve been an art lover for longer than I care to remember, and my appreciation continues to grow. I participate in several art guilds, support my local museum and love creating unusual and unexpected works of art. I enjoy oil painting and digital art; two mediums that are far apart – but both that bring me pleasure. I have certain preferences in art, but I choose not to limit myself and I enjoy art in a wide variety of forms and mediums.

The fine art prints in my gallery are truly unconventional and require a great deal of effort to finish. Each piece of my Limited Run artwork usually takes several weeks from conception to completion. Every phase of the effort, whether design, colorization, editing, rendering, multiple layer composites, or post processing can be very lengthily. As an example, the unique abstract stereograms can take 3-6 weeks to finish, and that’s after the original design is worked out. I hope you find the results as pleasing as I do.

I put as much care into my open edition artwork, but usually take a much shorter time to complete.

I’ve written a broadbrush article on “Art Materials Safety” which is posted at my website PixelatedPalette.

The article has been reviewed and accepted by knowledgeable experts in the field, and is available for distribution with certain restrictions (as outlined at the bottom of the work). Please feel free to link directly to the page.

Parents concerned with their children’s art materials can go straight to this section:
