Isabella and the Cardinal by

An original acrylic painting on canvas, this was inspired by the thought of the cardinal in Sleepy Hollow.

There is something so special about these little brilliantly coloured birds… it seems to see one is something of a good omen, and equally so in a dream.

The woman has the cardinal on her shoulder as they both look away to the right at something in the distance. Her bird holds a small golden key… She wears purple and white flowers in her hair and a ruby red necklace.

About KimTurner

Australian painter of winged whimsies; I love faeries, angels, mermaids, princesses, myth, gods & goddesses, cupcakes, colour…

I paint on canvas in acrylic mostly, but sometimes the watercolours come out for a less controlled splash.
