star of the sea........
mixed media on wood 30×23 x 5 (12×9 x 2”)
I was given this big thick chunk of wood so I created star of the sea using acrylic paint and pencils permanent markers and glued gold star sequins that I found at the op shop I painted the sides black and finished of with varnish,I have attached a hanger at the back or it could just sit on a mantle or bookshelf.

thanks salsbells69 I did use a long rigor brush for the lines which I suppose is the only similarity although aboriginal people make their own brushes from reeds usually.
