The " not so royal " Estate.

Brass tacks writing. I was watching Shameless on the TV which prompted me to write this peice. The ” goings on ” Although, in my mind, a little over the top but I feel the basics are about right, however, there are some lovely people on these estates but the trouble is, everyone tars you with the same brush. People tend to only look at the outside and never the inside. I,ve met all sorts of people from all walks of life and to be honest, there is,nt much to choose between them.
There is many a dodgy person, from the ” so called top ” right through to the bottom.
Just look at your politicians and bankers lollol If people on these estate,s had the chance to earn millions and get millions of pounds of bonus,s and get paid well, just to let the whole system end in disaster, and to be then bailed out from the puplic purse, then i,m sure they would do. Greed is a lot of the problems here but sadly that effects us all, one way or another. Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading this and thanks for taking the time to look at my writings x

The estate where I live, is a lovely place
But watch your wallet, just in case
The people are nice and most of them care
Go against them, if you dare

We have Sales reps abound, selling there ware,s
Red hot to the touch, brand new, they swear.
Back of a lorry, I always get told
Ouch! they are hot, certainly not cold

Chardinaye Mercades who lives next door
Is a lovely girl, who hide,s on the floor
She,s hideing from the ” weekly man “
She,s giving him the ” knock back ” once again.
She,s not long back from a fortnight in Spain.

Ethel over the road, is a lovely old gal
Many a story she loves to tell
She sits on the front, out in the sun
With her cuppa char and a lovely cream bun.

Alf on the corner has lived there all his life
Sadly though he,s just lost his wife
We all raly round to help him out
On this estate, thats what it,s about.

The law are coming, just heard someone shout
Its that lad round the corner, he,s nowt but a lout
His ” Street Cred ” has soared, as the police drag him out
His mate,s think it,s great, whayyyyaaaaaa they shout

Mrs O, lander , passed the other day
The street went silent as she went on her way
The curtains are closed to show some respect
The neighbours came round , came round to collect.
Collected enough to put a verse in the Obits
She was a lovely lady, we loved her to bits.

When you visit, dont wear a suit
They,ll think it,s the Social, and give you the boot
The word will go round, so all will know
The grapevine,s so fast and all keep stum
No one grass,s, its a rule of thumb

The shop down the road is like a prison
Everything behind glass and mostly hidden
The server is swearing, piss off you little bugger
You wait till later, i,m nipping round to see your mother

The young lad in the close, just out of nappies
Sits there in all glory, smoking his whappies
He,s just been told he,s a Dad
No, says his neighbour, he,s just a lad

So, all in all, it aint to bad
It is a bit dodgy , just a tad
I,ve lived around here most of my life
And I must say, i,ve seen some strife
I,ve seen laughter and i,ve seen tear,s
Liveing round here, all these years.
