I,m back in the fold LOL

Thank you to all my friends for wishing me a great holiday. Your all so lovely.

Well, I did have a great time there in Greece, it was all i imagined it to be. We went on a day trip to the Old Curfu Town it was brilliant, so continential. I walked by a church, to look at the outside you would never
think it was such a beautiful building it just looked like an old old building, no sign,s to say it was a church, then again, i carnt read Greek LOL but what a wonderful surprise when we walked in, the church was absolulty beautiful, the paintings on the ceiling are works of art. It reminded me of the Cistean Chapel in Rome, although i,ve never been there and was on a smaller scale. I will look up on the histroy of it and let you know. I did get told off because i took a

Off on my hols

I,m off on my holiday, so looking forward to it. I,m going to Greece so i,m hopeing to get some nice shots over there.

Counting my Blessings

First and formost I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year. Wishing you all many New Year Blessings.I myself have been poorly all over Christmas and New Years and i,m pleased to say I am now getting better. What I thought was a pulled muscle in my back turned out to be a kindney infection. Some medical expert I am lol No good at this self diagnosis thing lol Needless to say I ended up on anti biotics, not a drop of Bacardi has crossed my lips and its about the first time i,ve stayed in on a New Years Eve. Me and hubby brought the new year in with a cuppa lol But I do count my blessings. A Sale

Today, Nov 30th 2008, I have made my first sale. And the best thing is, it has been bought by a lovely friend who I have met on here on RB. I just wanted to put this in writing and i,m so proud. I,m just Gobsmacked lol.

A Brief history of Braunstone Hall.

The first records of Braunstone are found in the Doomsday Book of 1086. As a result of the Norman Conquest much of England was divided amongst William,s 1st noblemen. Braunstone was given to Hugh de Grantermesnil, one of his most trusted Barons. Over the centuries many noble families were connected with the lands of Braunstone. During the civil war ( 1642-1649 Sir Henry Hastings a younger son of the Earl of Huntingdon held allegience to the royal forces of King Charles 1. After the war his estates were confiscated by the Parliamentarians and the fine of £2072 led to bankruptcy.…

The Winstanleys came to Braunstone in the mid 17th century. James Winstanley purchased the estate from the execuors of the Hastings family after the death of Henry Hastings, in 1649 for the sum of £6,000.
