The intricate lacing of the peacocks back feathers is often missed by the onlooker due to the stunning display of the tail feathers. These feathers are just as elaborate as the tail and I felt they deserved to be shown alone to allow people to see what they normally would overlook.

Throughout history peacocks have fascinated mankind for their enduring luminescent beauty. Recognised in many religions as the eye of god, a symbol of fertility, the greeter at the gates of heaven, bringer of luck and health the mysteriously stunning peacock today still makes us stop to appreciate natures wonder.
I found it very hard to produce just one image from a bird as spectacular as a Peacock. So here are the three images together as one. I actually found it hard to stop at three images!
