Swallow Falls Betws-y-Coed

Taken today 27th Decmeber 2008

A stunning series of waterfalls located off the A5 between Betws-y-Coed and Capel Curig. North wales, England

Swallow Falls

I set the camera on a tripod and experimented with the shutter speed, I used a high density filter x4 that I bought from ebay, the filter lowers the light similar to a polerizing filter, this ment I can open the shutter for longer periods of time and the image will not be too bright.

panasonic dcm fx18
focal length 15.4mm
2.5 seconds shutter
f 8.0
ISO 100
HD x 4 filter
black and white

  • Kimberley Davitt replied

We have been wanting to go for a while to experiment taking moving water shots, we didn’t know anywhere local where the water fall would be high enough or have the detial we wanted to have a go at capturing. You do not live far from us do u know of any other water falls?
