dealing with a 14 yr old…...most days are not like this..but the ones that are send me reeling
screaming belongs to the following groups:
All Out Emotion, First Things, Imperfectly, Safe Haven and WMGcrying
fighting
yelling
screaming
hurting
shutting out
building up walls
tearing down
more screaming
more tears
more hurt
and tomorrow…we do it all again
wonder if i’ll survive the teen years….

Oh you poor thing Kim, I know exactly how you feel. But the more they yell at you, the more they love you, and the more they want you to bundle them up and give them a hug at the end of the day. And then again, they are just preparing themselves for the big release from you as they get older, so they have to fight you- and their childhood- away. My 17 year old and I have regular biggies, although not quite so much any more, and always end up loving each other in the end. Its tough, go have a glass of wine and forget it happened! ;-) xx

i am blessed with boys and today the youngest turned 15
their hormones lead to sarcasm and defiance but i am spared the emotional displays.
you know you’re a good mom, and shes a good kid.
