I had been planning on shooting pelicans on the poles of this pier, but the composition and sunset sky just was not working… So the mild autumn evening had me sticking about a bit longer. Under the rise if a near full moon I came up with this shot.

How lovely! The purples in the sky both here and in ‘Serenity’ are amazing. I like the tall panorama. I gives the feeling that the pier just goes on and on, closer and closer to the moon.

Nice work Tony! Great use of light, I like the greenish cast on the jetty from the overhead light. You did well with the close foreground focus, always a challenge on the 6×17 camera’s.
