Whisky Bay - Wilsons Promontory
A fading glow lightly caresses the boulders seperating Whisky and Picnic bays at Victoria’s majestic Wilsons Prom.
Anyone that’s ever shot 120roll film or 6×17 will know the detail and results of this format is just incredible and unsurpassed. So viewing this result certainly holds a smile on my face —> :)
Fuji G617 – no cropping,no stitching. Velvia 100F.

that’s a beautiful pano.

A classic shot of a classic spot. How long was this exposure Tony that sea looks mighty flat. Do you shoot much in 617 these days, would love to go this way and know I should but the ongoing cost of scanning it in on top of the initial gear prices kind of freaks me out. I know, I know go big or go home but I don’t have the $$$ at this stage.
Irene Burdell
Stunning picture again Tony, really beautiful.

Tony great shot mate I will be heading up to the Prom in March 08 with my arsenal of gear. Great composition as well and on 6×17 I know that this on screen image is only a glimpse of the real quality of this shot. Im guessing you would have had to range in your 6×17. I find the 100f to warm especially when scanning on my Imacon 343. Im now using a Linhof 617 90mm and my trusty Fuji G617 sits as a back up.
