I’m sure the dry is most prevalent right across the southern half of the country at the moment as the seasons peak…a new season dawning with new hope (I hope) lol
Thanks everyone for your interest and comments – I won’t reply to you individually unless it’s a pertinate point or query as I rather not fill this up with my own comments and views.Instead I’ll endeavour to browse your own portfolios as time permits – thanks again ! :)

I really like the contrasting colour and the wonderful cloud formation. Also like the wide format, with the black mount. This is a very pleasing image :-)

Another excellent weather image Tony. Such rich color!
ilziAndPeter
yes terrific contrast.
Andrew Murrell
Astounding!!! it is so hard to keep cloud detail in landscape images like this. You have managed a great exposure keeping the hot spots to a minimum. Again panoramic is the right medium for the photo. love the way the road leads you toward the cloud mass.
Tony Middleton replied
thanks Andrew ! the original large transperancy has better detail than this image …I seemed to have lost some of those highlights in the scanning unfortunately…
Adam Maund
As already stated this is a very pleasant landscape, love it. The hot spots don’t look that bad being clouds! Nice depth and composition, really leads you in..,try a few test scans at different sizes/res & colour profiles, maybe you can improve any area you think needs it – you can always chuck them out! ~ Truly great photographers have the biggest wastepaper baskets! ~
Tony Middleton replied
very true Adam – thanks for adding your thoughts.
cheers,
