12 Apostles storm
A morning storm approaches the rugged coastline of the 12 apostles. An incredible soft light bounces off the stormy sky over the water and cliff faces rendering the scene in a very unique colour.

Great shot Tony ….. those colours are definitely unique, lovely capture!!
Tony Middleton replied
Thanks John – sometimes it pays to ‘brave’ the elements… it was freezing cold and raining during this pre-dawn shoot.

“Majestic” is the first word that came to mind look at the large version of this. Such grandeur in the triple expanse of ocean, cliffs, and sky! And then I detected an element of sensuality—maybe the luscious greens of the ocean and the soft blues in the sky? I don’t know, but I do know I like it a lot. :)
Tony Middleton replied
hi Kevin,
I think its the mood and tones of that sky, from the blues in the top left to the ominous and almost dirty tones to the right. The water is amazing too though. I was in awes of the show before me !
thanks for such an indepth and emotive comment – much appreciated !
Kerry Hill

Your patience and ability to ‘see’ that magic moment is dramatically evident here.
Tony Middleton replied
hi Enivea,
How did you guess that this shot just didn’t occur ? lol
Yep it was somewhat planned well in advance and it came off quite well. :)
thank-you

G’day Tony
The storm looks great with the coast line in view. Some of the apostles look like
they are right in the path of the storm, great colours
Cheers Rod.
Tony Middleton replied
hey Rod,
yep we were all in it’s path ! though the strongest area of the storm passed just offshore. Shortly after completing this shot (ones like this can take 10min minumum to set up and get the exposure and then for it to transpire). I was running for cover from the popur rain and gales.
cheers,
tone
