eclipsing through time...
This was taken as the moon re-emerged over the Whitsunday Islands from a total lunar eclipse on the 28th August 2007. Originally I had intended to photograph the entire event, but thicker early cloud cover forced me to start this one a bit later than originally intended.

Stunningly beautiful image this – I’m a sucker for any moon shot but this one is right out of the box – the framing couldn’t be better and the dynamism created by that cloudblur is pefect against that rock outcrop. Masterful work.
