Travis Easton
now where did you find this? Great shot was this before we all met up.
Tony Middleton replied
Cheers Trav – It’s a spot I’ve been waiting on for years to have just the right flow and that day was it – yay !
Laurette Ruys
really beautiful shot Tony. the flow of water is spot on!

Thanks Laurette – you are correct about the flow…that water level is something I had wanted for years for such a shot.

All those curves and smooth water – contrasted with the lines of the sticks. Compelling image Tony!
Tony Middleton replied
Thanks Rosalie – preceeding ventures to the spot ove rthe years have yielded unsatisfactory water flows and this time the water was right but I was not sure about the fallen logs – glad you like them.

Enivea
Your patience was rewarded, and we reap the benefits! I’m undecided about the logs…perhaps it’s the ‘less than perfect’ detail that Japanese master designers strive for…..
Tony Middleton replied
thanks Enivea – sometimes I think my brain must be so completely full of locations and scenes all over Australia and what conditions and time of the year I would like to be there again. It’s satisfying when the planning comes off and I am fortunate enough to be there and experience them. :)

Liane Pinel
Wow! Stunning…can you tip the newbie on how to get that softness to the flow?
Tony Middleton replied
Hi Liane – thanks for your comment, glad you like it so much. To soften the water you need to use a tripod and slow your shutter speed right down, anything below 1/15sec and you will start to see the effect – hope this helps and happy shooting ! :)
Michael Howard
Very nice Tony
Tony Middleton replied
thanks Michael – much appreciated !
Liane Pinel
