Basalt and spinifex
On a morning shoot with my guest Travis Easton we headed to the basalt coast of Phillip Island. Here the dawn sunlight illuminates the coastal spinifex against the black basalt.

Holy cow, where did ya pull this one from? Struggled to get anything satisfying from that morning but this is the bomb. Really shows your skill to pull such an amazing shot from this spot and morning, using the light with what worked rather than what was obvious (maybe I need myself a pair of those gravity defying rock climbing thongs so I could of followed you up to this spot).
Tony Middleton replied
hey Trav,
It’s my only worthwhile shot from that morning and I’ve just been too busy lately for computer stuff really. You got yourself into some pretty crazy spots as always too…but if you can’t get hold of any of those thongs then I’d also recommend bare feet….mankind has ‘stood’ by them for 70,000+ years so they can’t be all that bad ! :)
Andrew Murrell
STUNNING.
Tony Middleton replied
thanks Andrew.
