Pandanus star trails
Camping on the Qld central coast one night I took the opportunity to do a star trail photograph on my Fuji 6×17 camera. Using a spotlight I delicately painted in the dune and Pandanus during this 5.5hr exposure.

A great panoramic here. the position of the tree over the pole and letting the stars rotate about the tree is a great way of reinforcing the tree’s presence in the image. Amazing!!

Thanks Mariann – It is a 5.5hr exposure, I didn’t need to paint the light in for that entire duration…only about 5-10minutes for memory.
