The white on the barn is too vivid, it doesn’t look like it’s in the distance/background. Also a distinguishing colour between the ground and sky, maybe make the ground fade to a darker colour as it recedes. Great work as always though.

OMG… I can’t tell you how much I love this! I have some ideas for you but don’t know if you’ll like them or not! LOL!
First of all, I’d love to see the barn done to look more menacing. Like maybe make the hayloft windowns and doors look like a sneer… evil.
Secondly, I’d make the ground look like muck – more brown – and with trails of blood flowing through it. (I do love the treatment of the background though!)
I’d also make the chicken look like he’s been through a war – tufts of hair missing, battle scars, wounds, etc. Maybe poke his eye out completely…
LOL… in case you can’t tell I really hate KFC! I don’t know what you’re going for with this exactly, but it’s definitely about to make a real statement!!

Thanks alot.. im really glad you liike it!! haha thanks for the suggestions… although i think i may want to stick with a contrast of having a creep ass bird and cutesy little background.. hah ill save a warn torn bird for my next piece ;)

First of all Killer! Great Great Great painting!!! Second of all, I worked for YUM brands (Pizza Hut Wing Street) for 4+ years and I can tell you that the stories of chickens being genetically engineered to not produce as many (or zero) bones is a fact, and pilgrams pride was almost sued for it. I love this more than anything and it is definitely going to my favorites list. Once again Great Job!

Thank you so much man!! ... I actually worked for KFC for like a month. (just to get some cash for my vacation to Cancun) after i got that i quit haha .. but yeah I heard the stories of genetically cloned chickens with no bones and no featehrs and shit… pretty much what i was thinking when making this creep haha .. YUMMY FOODS!

Love the sagging skin on the chic…KN! I had a friend who worked a chicken farm…had horrible stories…one that sticks in my mind was the time he worked so hung over he threw up…and the chickens went crazy…closest thing to real food they had ever seen or got to…yes…eat! That farm stocks KFC here in Aus. :P

fantastic work in progress…the colours on the barn should be less vivid/bright… maybee add a fence in front of the barn to break it up…I like the fact that all the other colours are dark it all adds to the mood of the picture..
again brilliant work cant wait to see it finished :O)

thank you ! i agree … i may make a fence with some rolling hills to add a little more depth… but less vivid indeed … i dont want to draw too much away from the chicken.. thanks for the suggestions!
