Fuzzy and grey.
Searched through the grass
She so wanted to play..
There were butterflies and bee’s
They giggled as they flew
How the catapillar wished
she could fly too..
They saw the little catapaillar,
they laughed and turned away…
“you are nothing, you are ugly…
and your not welcome to play..”
This hurt the dear catapillar…
It broke her little heart.
She scurried away
Before more mocking could start..
‘Maybe they’re right” she thought…
‘I am not worth having around..’
So she tucked herself away
Hoping never to be found..
She wrapped herself up
In a cacoon made of tears..
She made the walls thick..
so the insults could not reach her ears..
Time went by slowly..
With only herself for company…
She pondered and thought…
Till one day she could see…
She was beautiful and special…
Though she could not fly…
She had much to offer
She would not wait here to die…
She broke free of her sanctuary
She broke free of her fear…
She would not waste one more moment…
She would not wast one more tear…
She cared not what they thought.
She was strong, she was proud..
She emerged from the cocoon
to a hushed, gasping sound..
She spread her wings wide
they sparkled yellow, pink and green…
Others surrounded her astonished…
She was glad to be free..
Not caring what they thought
She fluttered away…
She would find those who could appreciate her…
Who would always welcome her to play…

Dear one…..
it is a wonderful story
remembering me the Little Ugly Duck..
it could be turn ito a wonderful song,
it is so perfectly narrated that you can feel her
you can see her inner transformation,
though…there is something that worries me..
the fact that those animals, either being a swan or a caterpillar…
are unhappy and disgraceful…. rejected and so because of their ugliness.
and turn to glory once they have the transformation of their outside…
being executed.
Is that the message?
Or rather that the transformation comes from within..
and that Beauty is…. just..
in the Eye of the Beholder?

It is the transformation that takes place within, and when she she discovers this and is ready to stand tall, the transformation also takes place on the outside to reflect her inner beauty and strength, but she knows that matters the least.. She knows and loves herself

What a wonderful piece indeed. I simply love this. It says so much of the world we live in, where appearance is everything. People still judge the book by its cover and not what is inside. It is sad. I love this, it’s beautiful!! Congrats on the feature! :)
