According to ancient Egyptian mythology, the sky, Nut, and the Earth, Geb, were in love, but were held apart by the wind, Shu, because they held the waters of chaos, Nun, at bay. They were never allowed to meet, by decree of the sun god, Ra, on any of the 360 days of the year. Then, Nut bargained with the moon, Khonshu, and five days at the end of the year were added, where they conceived and gave birth the the five great gods: Seth, Isis, Osiris, Nepthys, and Horus.
Drawn, then put into Photoshop by me.
The hieroglyphics in the upper left translate as:
“Opened is the sky ! Opened is the Earth ! Opened are the apertures of the celestial windows ! Opened are the steps of Nun ! Released are the movements of the light of the Sun, by that one who endures every day.”
The middle is simply:
And the bottom right is:
“I was born in Nun before the sky existed, before the Earth existed, before that which was to be made form existed, before turmoil existed, before that fear which arose on account of the Eye of Horus existed.”
