Entropy

The Second Law of Thermodynamics (Entropy) explained (Psalm 102:25-26). This law states that everything in the universe is running down, deteriorating, constantly becoming less and less orderly. Entropy (disorder) entered when mankind rebelled against God – resulting in the curse (Genesis 3:17; Romans 8:20-22). Historically most people believed the universe was unchangeable. Yet modern science verifies that the universe is “grow(ing) old like a garment” (Hebrews 1:11). Evolution directly contradicts this law. 101 Facts & Foreknowledge

Yesterday (Aug 15th at 12-1am) i was exposed to some amazing lightning. I was, a tad to afraid to set up my tripod so i used the rail. didn’t get some great shots. But it was my first time!
The day started out 90 Degrees F, no clouds in sight, at about 7PM
it got sticky w/high cloud cover…then deep and dark. Not raining here..but a great show looking out towards Redondo/Hermosa Beach.
I hate the poles andstuff, but then again..it think it adds a tad bit of something, what do you think?

If we could work out how to generate the power from lightening into our electricity grid {without blowing it up } we could solve alot of the greenhouse gas emissions we produce every year ! so l think the poles and wires add to the parallel of this shot ! wonderful capture !

  • Kenny Gulley Jr. replied

thanks a bunch for responding to my description trudi!
i thought about that and wondered to if it was possible. Its such a huge surge of power, it would be amazing to harness especially in places like Florida.

Excellent capture here, Kenny. Excellent contrast, and creepy, electric-green monochrome.
I’ve never been able to photograph forked lighting. I tried a couple of years ago, whilst in the mountains of Corsica, in the mediterranean.

The poles just add an everyday rural setting. If you dont like them, youc could always clone ‘em out with good old photoshop.

The telephone poles and lightning go well together. I know it must be a bitch to shoot in conditions like this but seems to me a great photograph could be had of this. Cool.

You don’t always get to see lightning strikes from a neighborhood perspective and that makes this extra cool. I miss lightning… hardly ever get it here in CaliForNIA.

  • Kenny Gulley Jr. replied

it didnt even rain on us. Probably the weirdest, coolest light show Ie seen as long as I have lived here in the southbay. not to mention kind of creepy with electronic equipment…
