This was taken at the top of Malham Cove in North Yorkshire, UK. Malham Cove is about 80 metres high and 300 metres wide. It is made of carboniferous limestone formed after the last ice age and this is what makes the wonderful limestone pavement for which it is also famous. There used to be a massive waterfall which went over the top and led to it’s large curved shape. Of course none of this can be seen from this photo!
