JAWS
A few months ago I went cage diving with Great Whites. Seeing these animals up close, makes you realise, they are not the evil killers, they have the reputation for.
This artwork is based on a shot I took from the dive.
This artwork is based on a shot I took, while shark diving in Australia in November.

Well, if they were tiny- say as long as my hand- I would probably love them. As big as they are, I´m glad I don´t have to swim together with them.
Your picture captures the shark as an impressive animal.
Wayne Holman
Another great shot of Great White, terrific capture….
Mar Silva
Wow- how brave. Very cool capture!
Eryn Whelan
very brave scarry but brave lol I went swimming with sharks in the Bahamas but I don’t think I would go with great whites
Katja Fønss
I’m so hooked on it. I wanna do it again. They are such calm beautiful animals.
Marcus Grant
Stunning capture of one of most misunderstood marine animals
Katja Fønss
Yep, we agree.
I can see it might look a bit scarier, than a vending machine, but the fact is vending machines kill more people, than sharks do.
Robert Mullner
Awesome capture…most impressive animals are they not…
Katja Fønss
Oh yes, they are. Thanx for you comment.
Atheum
Wow, nice shot, and you’re right. Sharks are perhaps the most amazing creatures on earth. I remember when I wanted to be a marine biologist to study sharks (just a little tyke). I guess I still do, or capture their beauty in artwork. SOS ( Save Our Sharks! )
Katja Fønss
Yep, we need more people with that opinion. Thanx for your comment!
Steve Chapple
I agree, amazing creations of nature. However, that said I was going to go wading for fish tomorrow…..!!!!!
Katja Fønss
Hehe…just remember this. There’s probably more chance of you twisting your angle and drowning, than there is of you getting attacked by a Great White.
Thanx for your comment.
Avril Brand
These photo’s are so brilliant, Katja!! Years ago, I used to scuba dive in an area notorious for sharks (great whites) and even saw one at a distance. Magnificent animals!
Katja Fønss
Thanx a lot for the kind words. I really appreciate it!
Cheryl Lunde
Magnificent Beauty! I have thought about doing this, but can’t seem to make the leap.
Katja Fønss
You should definitely do it!!!
I wasn’t sure because it was a bit of a hassle to get there. But I did it, and know I am wondering why I was even hesitating.
It is an experience of a lifetime!!!
Agood
I have wanted to do that since I was three years old!!!! Unfortunaly the funds have never been there.
I really wanna swim in the open with the tiger sharks someday!
Katja Fønss
Yea, me too. I wanna see more sharks, but it’s not easy when you live in Denmark.
Paul Davis
This is a great shot, I think it would suit the group In the eyes of danger
Katja Fønss replied
Thanx Paul.
I’ve just had a look at the group and think it has a cool topic and great photos.
I’ll add the shark.
schizomania
Nice picture… sharks hug with their mouths, poor misunderstood sea creatures :(
Katja Fønss
Thanx. They are very misunderstood indeed.
Shelagh Linton
love this great shot, beautiful light filtering through.:)
Katja Fønss
Thanx a lot!
It was such a great day for shark diving. The water was completely clear. We were so lucky!
