9:45 at Flinders Street Station - Melbourne by

Emerging from an architectural competition at the beginning of the 20th century, Flinders Street Station is arguably Melbourne’s most recognisable landmark.

Interesting Fact: A nursery for children was setup in the station by Victorian Railways in 1933 – allowing patrons to drop off their kids and get their business done. Similar nurseries were operational in Paris and Chicago.

For more interesting facts visit the Victorian Department of Transport website

Quite the structure to behold and even after more than 100 years, still a hive of activity as commuters go about their daily travels.
