After a day of driving, meetings and then taking in the southern most mainland point of New Zealand, it was time for dinner.
Unfortunately after driving around looking for somewhere open for dinner, I found a nice restaurant – only to be told that the kitchen was closed! Back into the car.
Fortunately, on the way back to Invercargill, I decided on a whim to turn off the main road to have a look around town.
Two elements of luck came into play.
i) the road I turned into was the road to the Bluff lookout.
ii) I got to enjoy the most beautiful sunset light breaking through heavy storm clouds.
I hope you enjoy it too.

Photography is my passion. I love the challenge of aligning light and luck – the excitement when it works, the disappointment when it doesn’t. I strive to create images that mean something to me. That preserves a moment in time or tells a story. I think most of all, I like creating something you can enjoy for as long as you like from a moment that will never be repeated.
