You’ve got to appreciate the power (and ear splitting noise) of dragsters.

This image of a dragster doing the pre-race burnout to warm the tires was caputred at 1/250th second on a particularly hot day at Calder Park Raceway in Melbourne.

Photography is my passion. I love the challenge of aligning light and luck – the excitement when it works, the disappointment when it doesn’t. I strive to create images that mean something to me. That preserves a moment in time or tells a story. I think most of all, I like creating something you can enjoy for as long as you like from a moment that will never be repeated.

    looks mad as.

  • cheers headlesschicken – a good portion of those little bits of flying rubber and grit whacked me (and the camera) shortly after capture…but there’s no better place to be than up close!
